9:30 Club Reunion Show. Tiny Desk Unit, Bob Mould, Dave Grohl, Trouble Funk

June 2nd, 2010

Had an absolute blast being part of the reunion show for the 9:30 club in DC.  So great to play with these guys from Tiny Desk Unit and open the show.  Tiny Desk Unit opened the original 9:30 in 1980 and were there to open the reunion.  Great club, great people, great night.

You can read a good article about it all here: http://blog.washingtonpost.com/clicktrack/2010/06/in_concert_930_club_30th_anniv.html

UPDATE!

If you missed the show you can catch my performance with Tiny Desk Unit on youtube (link below).  We played three songs, they’re all below.

Welcome to the News Page

n809240303_5063962_6886Hello everyone and welcome to my new news page!  I’m just getting the hang of this, but here I’m planning to keep you updated with some of the projects that pass through my studio in Brooklyn.  I’m really looking forward to the result of a few collaborations that are happening right now, I can’t wait to release some music up here for you all to listen to.

I’ll also be dropping notes here about updates to the website, particularly on the lessons page.  You can already download all the handouts I use for teaching, but I’ve  been busy overhauling this whole area.   You can expect a little more organization on the Lessons page coming soon and some videos to help you through some of the drumming concepts, grooves and ideas.

Finally, maybe I will post a few articles on my favorite drumming books, DVDs, drummers, the gear I like to use, anything drum related.  Feel free to leave a comment or email any suggestions of what you want to see.  Otherwise, just keep playing!

Rock on.
